Cutting Edge Exhibition 2007
Sunday 30th September saw this year’s Cutting Edge Exhibition
take place at the new Exhibition Hall at Doncaster Racecourse.
Our show was the first to take place at this new venue, but given
the excellent facilities and good transport links we doubt if
it will be the last. We showed a lot of new machinery and innovations
this year. For the first time anywhere people had the chance to
test the new Flexam
City 230 Finisher and Flexam PL90PB Press Bench combination.
This set-up met with universal acclaim.
We also had the Standard “Maxi” Unit of 750 Finisher
with pressbench and Bandscourer which had never been exhibited
together previously. This machine set-up showed off the new style
mini band unit and adjustable forepart trimmer. The ever-popular
710 Finisher was also eagerly examined. This particular model
featured a third scouring head with scouring band, which may have
been new to many of the visitors to our stand. Our stitchers,
the Goodyear Outsoler and Geneva Insoler were regularly and positively
test-driven by a number of repairers either looking to invest
in this kind of machinery or seeing for themselves the enormous
advances made in design and ease of use from their own, unwieldy
